Antibacterial garments available on the market are often labeled with grades such as 3A, 5A, and 7A, but many people are unclear about the differences between them. In fact, the grading is primarily based on the fabric's resistance to washing, combined with the antibacterial rates against standard test bacteria such as Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus, and Candida albicans. The specific differences are as follows:

3A grade antibacterial garments: Basic antibacterial grade. After 50 washes, the fabric still maintains good antibacterial efficacy.

5A grade antibacterial garments: Mid-range antibacterial grade. The durability is superior to the 3A standard. After 100 washes, the antibacterial properties of the fabric do not fail.

7A grade antibacterial garments: High-end antibacterial grade. The antibacterial durability is the strongest. After 150 washes, the fabric continues to provide stable antibacterial performance.

In simple terms, 3A, 5A, and 7A represent a stepwise increase in the washing resistance and antibacterial durability of antibacterial fabrics. The higher the grade number, the better the antibacterial effect is retained after repeated washing, and the longer the service life. When choosing antibacterial clothing, consumers can select the corresponding grade based on their frequency of use and washing and care needs.
